The April Health and Safety column referred to a report from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, in which health care workers accounted for 16% of work-related asthma cases. The column stated that the data were reported between 1993 and 1999, when they were in fact reported from 1993 to 1997. We regret the error.
