Abstract

Conceptual nursing models are commonly used to aid in the management of specific patient populations. They have been developed to form a basis for the justification of nursing theory and knowledge. Altered body image is a common concern among many patients in the healthcare setting. A brief definition of body image, along with a thorough examination of the proposed case scenario, reveals implications that can be applied to various conceptual nursing models.
