This dynamic workshop will provide you with the ability to use your critical thinking skills and enhance clinical knowledge related to the safe administration of medications and the management of the patient receiving sedation and analgesia. A critical evaluation of the current practice trends, pharmacology, methods of administration, airway management, and risk management issues associated with sedation delivery are presented in an informative interactive environment. Actual clinical case scenarios are used to illustrate key points. The seminar also features an in depth analogy and presentation of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations Standards and the updated American Society of Anesthesiologists Guidelines for Sedation and Analgesia for Nonanesthesiologists.
