Abstract

If you're working with heart failure (HF) patients, you might be interested in the new American Association of Heart Failure Nurses, established last September. Focused on setting the standards for HF nursing care to help improve patient outcomes, it's open to nurses working in hospitals, clinics, and home health care. Among its goals is educating nurses to identify potential HF patients and teach them how to lower patients' risks of developing cardiovascular diseases.
