In your recent article on depression (“Is Your Patient Depressed?” December 2004), you didn't mention the tricyclic antidepressant nortriptyline. A little over 10 years ago, I was hospitalized for psychotic depression. One by one, I tried fluoxetine, paroxetine, and bupropion, but they didn't work. Finally I started on nortriptyline, which has kept me symptom-free for over 9 years. Sometimes older ...
