INFUSION SYSTEM

B. Braun 's Outlook Safety Infusion System is an I.V. administration system that guards against the primary causes of I.V. medication errors by helping to ensure the right patient is receiving the right drug in the right dose. Outlook's patented DoseScan bar code technology creates a primary level of safety with automated checks and balances that augment the manual procedures commonly used today. DoseGuard software offers secondary protection by notifying clinicians if they exceed programmed dose limits. The combined technologies reduce human error and enable hospitals to provide an unprecedented level of medication delivery safety for patients.

ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE

Medline Industries offers EndoFlex, an endotracheal tube that enables the clinician to rapidly and safely adjust the tip of the tube into position for a variety of difficult airway situations. Prior to EndoFlex, practitioners relied on stylets to help them form the tip bend (often referred to as a "hockey stick" or "J" shape) required in a difficult airway situation. This can be time-consuming, costly, and even life-threatening in some situations. EndoFlex helps practitioners perform both routine and difficult intubation procedures by providing a quicker, easier, and safer solution than traditionally designed endotracheal tubes.
