The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association is committed to expanding our advocacy work to continue to support the issues that impact palliative nursing, access to quality care and symptom management for our patients, patient choice, and nursing workforce issues. I believe that this will be a very busy and exciting year for the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and I look forward to working with the Board of Directors and the members to achieve our objectives and to support our mission.Three Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) members were selected by the HPNA Board as the third cohort of HPNA Research Scholars: Joy Buck, APRN, PhD, from West Virginia University; Jay Horton, APRN, RN, MSN, MPH, FNP, ACHPN, from Mount Sinai in New York, and Susan Lysaght, PhD(c), GNP-BC, ACHPN, from the University of Pennsylvania. The HPNA Research Scholars program supports funding
