Preventing central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs). Data from 80 ICUs participating in the Michigan Keystone ICU Project suggest that a publicly available safety program, On the Cusp: Stop HA1 (http://bit.ly/dVuCS3) can reduce CLABSIs for 12 to 24 months. Details of the findings were published on May 9 in an Archives of Internal Medicine research letter. Manuals and tool kits to help with the safety interventions are available at http://bit.ly/lL7WZn.
