I've often said to nursing students and colleagues that nurses gave up their best assessment tools when they gave up PM care and bed baths.

I continue to carry with me everything I learned during my initial nursing training, even though my practice isn't in a hospital. Thank you for writing about what can still be special in nursing practice.
