Labeled for safety

Baxter International, Inc., introduces new, distinctive labeling for Fentanyl Citrate Injection, USP CII (50 mcg/mL, 2 mL vial). Fentanyl is classified as a high-alert medication due to a heightened risk of causing significant patient harm if used in error. The FDA-approved labeling includes a 20% larger font size, a color combination highlighting the drug and concentration in a diagonal label, and a tear-off label extending above the main label that requires clinician intervention before administration.

Heels on air

The Sof*Care Elite Heel Boot from Gaymar Industries is designed for use in any healthcare environment to help prevent and treat all stages of pressure ulcers at the foot, heel, and Achilles tendon. Lightweight and preinflated to allow for immediate use right out of the package, the Sof*Care Elite Heel Boot completely elevates the heel off the bed surface and floats it on a cushion of air to eliminate heel pressure and protect against pressure ulcer formation, according to the manufacturer. The boot has an open design that allows air circulation around the foot while providing easy access to and visibility of the heel.
